RCCG TEENS TEACHER’S MANUAL 19 JANUARY 2020

TOPIC: JESUS HAS GIVEN US POWER TO DOMINATE

BIBLE TEXT: Luke 10:18-19

18 And he said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven.

19 Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.

MEMORY VERSE: Luke 10:19

Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.

LESSON AIM: To make them understand that Jesus has equipped them to dominate.

CENTRAL TRUTH: Tremendous power to dominate is available to every child of God.

INTRODUCTION: The power of God is made available to us His children through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. This power can overcome all powers of the enemy. To dominate means to have power and influence over something. It means ability to exercise control.

DISCUSSION: When Jesus said serpent and scorpions, was He referring to the animals themselves or is there another meaning we can derive from the verve?

INVITATION/APPLICATION: Only those in Christ, those that have accepted Jesus as their Lord and Saviour can exercise His power and authority. Have you accepted Him. If no, today is the day of salvation. And if yes, go ahead and begin to exercise your authority.

CONCLUSION: Since we have been made in the image and likeness of God, we therefore have the ability to understand and exercise authority like our father. The dominion He has given us is to live victoriously in this life. Are you exercising your dominion?
