OPENING PRAYER: Father, let Your grace be available for me in its various dimensions.

6 Insomuch that we desired Titus, that as he had begun, so he would also finish in you the same grace also.
7 Therefore, as ye abound in every thing, in faith, and utterance, and knowledge, and in all diligence, and in your love to us, see that ye abound in this grace also.
8 I speak not by commandment, but by occasion of the forwardness of others, and to prove the sincerity of your love.
9 For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye through his poverty might be rich.

LESSON INTRODUCTION:
In addition to the description of ‘Grace’ given in the previous lesson, grace can also be referred to as the divine influence in a human heart which reflects on the outside. It produces favour, beauty, goodwill, loveliness and ability. It increases as one grows in the knowledge of God’s word (2 Pet. 3:18). We shall, therefore, consider the various dimensions of grace mentioned in the Bible as well as some actions that can be taken with or against grace.
TEXT REVIEW : 2 Corinthians 8:6-9
a. Apostle Paul outlines five (5) dimensions of grace the Corinthians already possess in verse 7a. They are:
i. Faith
ii. Utterance

b. In addition, He encourages them to develop the Grace of giving. v.7b

2 LESSON OUTLINES
LESSON OUTLINE 1: DIMENSIONS OF GRACE.
A. Dimensions of Grace
The teacher should explain the various dimensions of grace as used in the Bible. For instance, we have:
i. Common Grace (Ps. 145:9; Matt. 5:45).
ii. Saving grace (Eph. 2:4-9: Titus 2:11).
iii. Abundant grace (2 Cor. 4:15).
iv. Sanctifying grace (Titus 2:12; 1 John 2:15-16).
v. Sustaining grace (Rom. 6:14; Jude 1:24-25).
vi. Supernatural/enabling grace (Phil. 4:13; Luke 1:37).
vii. Service (gifting) grace (Rom. 12:6; Eph. 4:7).
viii. Sufficient grace (2 Cor. 9:8; 1 Pet. 5:10).
ix. Victorious grace (1 Sam. 17:36-37).
x. Sacrificial giving grace (Gen. 22:9-10; 2 Cor. 12:15).
xi. Great grace (Acts 4:33).
xii. Eternal grace (1 Cor. 9:27).
B. The key to access and operate at any of these levels or dimensions of grace lies in the degree of one’s connection with Christ from whom all grace originates and the desire to grow in Him (John 15:5; Phil. 4:13; 2 Peter 3:18).
CLASS ACTIVITY 1:
Class should discuss what believers can do to operate in all dimensions of grace.
LESSON OUTLINE 2: WHAT YOU CAN DO WITH/AGAINST GRACE
A. Benefits of Grace
Teacher should mention some of the benefits that believers can derive from grace apart from salvation. Grace can:
i. Impart great blessings (Ps. 84:11).
ii. Impart faith (Acts 18:27).
iii. Make one God’s elect (Rom. 11:5-6).
iv. Give boldness (1 Cor. 15:10).
v. Call believers to the ministry (Gal. 1:15).
vi. Help render acceptable service (Heb. 12:28).
vii. Give seasoning to speech (Col. 4:6).
viii. Give strength (2 Tim. 2:1).
ix. Help in times of need (Heb. 4:16).
x. Bring hope (2 Thess. 2:16).
B. However, it is possible to do the following against grace:
i. Receive grace in vain (2 Cor. 6:1).
ii. Frustrate grace in one’s life (Gal. 2:21).
iii. Fall from grace (Gal. 1:6-8; 5:4).
iv. Fail of the grace of God (Heb. 12:15).
v. Turn grace into lasciviousness (Jude 4).
vi. Sin in spite of grace (Rom. 6:1).
vii. Reject grace through pride (James 4:6).
CLASS ACTIVITY 2:
What can believers do avoid taking grace of God for granted
SUMMARY:
Believers must keep growing in grace and never take it for granted.
CONCLUSION:
Every believer must aspire to grow in grace (2 Peter 3:18). It is a dangerous thing to abuse grace despite its benefits
EVALUATION:
Teachers should ask students to mention the dimensions of grace.
