OUR DAILY MANNA DEVOTIONAL FOR 2ND DECEMBER 2020.
From today’s scripture, like most of us, Elijah got to the point where he wanted to quit! He experienced so many wonders and displayed DIVINE EXPLOITS against hell! Here was a man who “stopped” the rain for more than three years (1 Kings 17:1). He was a man who was fed by ravens (1 Kings 17:4)a divine provision miracle. He had seen the dead raised back to life (1 Kings 17:22) and he had disgraced the prophets of “Baal cult” by calling down fire from heaven (1 Kings 18:38). But when his season of attack came through JEZEBEL’S NATIONAL DEATH SENTENCE ON HIM, Elijah couldn’t take it anymore.
He ran for his dear life and PRAYED TO DIE! Ah! Listen, we all have passed through that road. I am a living witness! But at last, Elijah was restored and he ended his ministry with signs and wonders-HE DID NOT DIE! HE LEFT THIS EARTH WITH A CHARIOT-OF-FIRE-DIVINE ESCORT Wow! No matter how 2020 has been, REFUSE TO BE EXHAUSTED! REFUSE TO QUIT! Refuse to give in to those suicide thoughts! REFUSE SAD, DEPRESSIVE MOODS! Don’t run to alcohol or drugs!
Don’t give up! What you do is: eyes front, head high to the finish. See it through! Take time to care for yourself physically, spiritually, and emotionally-and then get back in the game! Winners don’t quit and quitters don’t win! Hold on! Trust on, O child of God! I see greater days ahead for you! Trust God and expect that delayed miracle! It will come because I hear a sound of elevation and OPEN REWARD in your house! Amen and amen.
