OUR DAILY MANNA DEVOTIONAL FOR TODAY
As we share another portion of Martin Luther king Jr’s speech, never forget that Kevin Costner wrote: I’m a big fan of dreams. Unfortunately, dreams are the first casualty in life – people give them up quicker than anything for a reality.”
Martin Luther king Jr continued: ” I have a dream that one day the state of Mississippi, a state sweltering with the heat of oppression will be transformed into an oasis of freedom and justice. I have a dream that one day on the red hills if Georgia, the son of former slaves, an the sons of former slaves owners will be able to seat together at the table of brotherhood. And if America is to be a free nation, this must come true!
Let freedom ring from the prodigious hilltops of New Hampshire! Let freedom ring from the mighty mountain of New York! Let freedom ring from the snow-caoosd Rockies of Colorado! Let freedom ring from the Lookout Mountain of Tennessee. Let freedom ring from the heightening Alleghenies of Pennsylvania. Let freedom ring from every hill and Molehill of Mississippi.
And when this happens, we will be as to work together, pray together, struggle together, go to jail together, and stand up for freedom together. And this will be the day when all of Gods children will be able to sing: ‘My country ’tis of thee i sing. Land where my fathers died, land of the Pilgrim’s pride.’From every village and hamlet, let freedom ring and we will be able to speed up that day when all of God’s children, black men and white men, Jews and Gentiles, Protestants and Catholics, will be able to join hands and sing in the words of old Negro spiritual: Free at last!
Free at last! Thank God Almighty, we are free at last! Amazing! Over 200, 000 people listened to that speech and despite odds and despite intense delays, and death (he was killed). America is free today! God wants you to know that a dream delayed is not a dream denied! Take a timely word from Vince Lombardi: “It’s not whether you get knocked down, it is whether you get up that matters.”
Hold on because: “Persistence is the twin brother of existence. One is a matter of quality and the other a matter of time” – (Marabel Morgan).
I see this second half of 2019 holding out your glory if your eyes are fixed on your dream and on your God! Yea! Hold on and hold out! See – The Unfailing Promises For High Flyers/Champions In Year 2019.
