OUR DAILY MANNA DEVOTIONAL FOR 1ST JULY 2021.
Welcome to the second half of the year! I remember seeing this year ago: “We often miss opportunities because its dressed in overalls and looks like work.” Then I concluded that inspiration is a guest that does not willingly visit the lazy. This is how men and women become poor and drift into lack. Even if you are retired, remember you must refire because you are not tired.
To kill demotion, “put all excuses aside and remember this: you are capable” (Zig Ziglar). Some years ago, someone jokingly sent me a write-up on the quickest formula to be poor:
Complain about everything.
Pass over opportunities repeatedly and consistently thinking all are scams. 3
. Remain at one spot and resist change.
Criticize and look down on risk-takers.
Ignore emerging technologies and breakthroughs.
If you can practice these five things seriously, you will seriously and successfully become an “award-winning” poor/ broke person! No wonder Steven Grayhm noted: “Excuses are the tools with which persons with no purpose in view build for themselves great monuments of nothing.” Wow! Monuments of nothing! God forbid!
Indeed, laziness travels so slowly that poverty soon overtakes him. Catch this: “A life of leisure and a life of laziness are two things. There will be sleeping enough in the grave” (Benjamin Franklin).
Close with this scripture: Prov 10:4 – “He becometh poor that dealeth with a slack hand: but the hand of the diligent maketh rich.” God forbid! Hear Thomas Taylor: “Too many young people itch for what they want without scratching for it.” Use today’s devotional to scratch for the things you desire!
Start preparing for the upcoming worldwide 14-day fasting programme (Starts July 11th-July 24th)! Even if you are retired, find something to do. I see you living long to eat the fruit of your labour in Jesus name.

- Pray about today’s word as led now.
- Lord, rain on me the grace to be fruitful and diligent. Inspire me with new ideas for new levels in Jesus name. Pray in Tongues.
- Every arrow of discouragement and laziness; return to sender today in Jesus name (Pray it for 48 hours – 2 days).
- Pray about today and this Month seriously now.
