OUR DAILY MANNA DEVOTIONAL FOR 14TH FEBRUARY 2021.
Begin today’s devotional with this ALLEGORY (a story, poem or picture that can be interpreted to reveal a hidden meaning, typically a moral lesson): Two donkeys were walking in Jerusalem, when one donkey said to the other, “Just yesterday I was here carrying Jesus and the people were singing and shouting and throwing down their clothes for me to walk on, and today they don’t even recognize me.” The other donkey replied, “that’s how it is my friend… Without Jesus you are nothing!” Wonderful! This describes today’s scripture! Vs. 8 says: “And a very great multitude spread their garments in the way; others cut down branches from the trees, and strawed them in the way.” 1st lesson from this “Donkey university”: The very great multitude did not come to see the donkey; donkeys were very cheap and many! They did not spread their garments for a cheap donkey! They did not cut down branches from trees because of a common donkey! THEY DID IT BECAUSE OF THE PERSON ON THAT DONKEY – JESUS of Nazareth. He turned the ordinary donkey to an extraordinary celebrated donkey for a season! Halleluiah! Then Verse 9 says: “And the multitudes that went before, and that followed, cried, saying, ‘Hosanna to the Son of David: Blessed is He that cometh in the name of the Lord; Hosanna in the highest.” Hosanna is a Hebrew word meaning “save now” or “save us, we pray.” 2nd lesson: The multitude did not clap and sing Hosanna for the DONKEY! They sang and cut branches from palm trees (John 12: 13) for the ONE described as the HIGHEST. In this year 2021, set your eyes on THE HIGHEST! Without Him, you are just like an ordinary dusty donkey! Refuse to share His glory with Him. You are shining/popular because of Him! You are blessed/being used because “…it is Him (God) which worketh in you both to will and to do of His good pleasure” (Philippians 2: 13). Do you know that the celebrity donkey became an ordinary donkey immediately the LORD climbed down from it? Think! (To be continued tomorrow). Pray seriously now.

1. Take any song of praise as led.
2. Lord, thank you turning me from ORDINARY DUST to an EXTRAORDINARY VESSEL of HONOUR!
3. In 2021, I shall never forget that I am who I am by Your grace!
4. I shall not be moved by the praise or criticism of men. I shall look to You alone. I shall NOT share Your GLORY in Jesus name.
5. Pray about today generally as led now!
