OUR DAILY MANNA DEVOTIONAL FOR 22ND MARCH 2021.
Vs. 5 of today’s 1st scripture says: “And he went unto his father’s house at Ophrah, and slew his brethren the sons of Jerubbaal, being threescore and ten persons, upon one stone: notwithstanding yet Jotham the youngest son of Jerubbaal was left; for he hid himself.” Note: “…Jotham the youngest son of Jerubbaal was left; for he hid himself…” He escaped because HE HID HIMSELF! The Holy Ghost wants you to HIDE yourself sometimes in 2021. It is not every time you seek to be SEEN or be HEARD! Too much VISIBILITY of PUBLICITY can backfire! There are times when you must KEEP QUIET and there are times when you must WITHDRAW from the crowd in order to “HIDE.” Yes, LET YOUR FRUITS and RESULTS ADVERTISE YOU! Pride will push you to WANT TO BE SEEN AND HEARD at all times but it can lead to your demotion/ stagnation/premature death. Yes! It can lead to AVOIDABLE TROUBLES, JEALOUSY, ENVY, SCANDALS AND WARS!
Learn from the LORD Himself – Matthew 12:15 – “But when Jesus knew it, He withdrew Himself from thence: and great multitudes followed Him, and He healed them all.” He withdrew Himself! He knew that there was a gang-up to KILL HIM and He also knew that His hour had not yet come; and He therefore sought security. Wow! WISDOM IN ACTION! By remaining VISIBLE, His presence would have provoked UNNECESSARY DISTRACTIONS! Catch this: THERE ARE TIMES WHEN SILENCE IS MORE POWERFUL THAN PROVING A POINT! Indeed, SILENCE is a TRUE FRIEND that NEVER betrays! The LORD Jesus would have wanted to PROVE A POINT to His haters that He was ALMIGHTY and UNTOUCHABLE, but rather, HE “WITHDREW” Himself! That was the secret of Jotham and that was the secret of the MASTER of the UNIVERSE – Jesus Christ! Use that secret as 2021 progresses!
ODM PRAYER POINTS FOR TODAY 22ND MARCH 2021.
1. Take Song 3: Amazing grace…
2. In your own words, pray about today’s word as led now.
3. Ask for grace to KNOW when to be silent and when to be LOUD!
4. As this first quarter ends, ask for grace to KNOW when to LEAVE THE CROWD and HIDE for a while!
5. Repent from ways in which you have wanted to be seen or heard in the past! PROMOTION is from the LORD.
6. In this year 2021, LORD, provoke my OPEN REWARD and let it SPEAK for me.
7. I shall not die before my time! I reject UNNECESSARY BATTLES and I shall not use my own hands to attract enemies.
8. Lord, in this year 2021, arise and SILENCE my SILENCERS!
9. Lord, thank you for this New Year! I move from the GOOD of the past to the BEST of tomorrow.
10. Pray about today seriously as led now.
