OUR DAILY MANNA DEVOTIONAL FOR 12TH APRIL 2021.
Michael Jordan is the greatest basketball player of all times. He won the IMVP(Most Valuable Player Award) and so many other awards and business franchises to his name. One thing Michael Jordan was known for was his Game Winning shots, He was always well positioned to save the day by winning the game for his team, with his last-minute shots, which enabled his team to win crucial games with just one or two points. But do you know that out of nine hundred and forty-six game-winning shots that he had taken from his days in high school, he only netted a hundred and forty-six, missed many chances and failed about seven hundred times?
This by any standard is failure. But each of those crucial misses taught him LESSONS THAT MONEY CANNOT BUY! He learnt by experience and became a STAR! Each of those crucial misses/failures were the necessary ingredients and components of the winning shots he later took that won him and his NBA team final matches, which gave him fame and fortune. In this second quarter of 2021, the Holy GHOST wants you to know that failure, mistakes, errors, delays etc, are not the end or the road! Some people stay down and live miserably for the rest of their lives after a failure, while some people go as far as committing suicide just because they failed. Yes!
I personally wanted to commit suicide after a particular failure years ago! That was what gave birth to
this ODM vision! Listen: IN EVERY FATLURE or MISTAKE is a seed of greatness! That is why you must never quit! Today 1st Basic Scripture Vs 6 says: “In the morning sow thy seed, and in the evening withhold not thine hand: for thou knowest not whether shall prosper, either this or that, either they both shall be alike good.” This means, NEVER STOP! NEVER QUIT – MORNING OR EVENING! NEVER QUIT IN ANY SITUATION OR SEASON of your life for you don’t know WHEN YOUR TIME WILL SHOW UP SUDDENLY!
Whether you fail or not, keep trying!
“Withhold not your hand.” DONT QUIT! You are not a failure because you failed. You become a failure when you quit and refuse to try again! Give yourself some allowances to fail because you are not an ANGEL! WHY FLOG
YOURSELF AND DESTINY WITH DEPRESSION AND SELF-PITY? Hear a wise man: Our greatest glory is not in never falling, but in rising every time we fall. Winston Churchill said: Success is not final, failure is not fatal; it is the courage to continue that counts.” Proverbs 24:16 says: “For a just man falleth seven times and riseth up again”
Close with Jeremiah 8:4: “Moreover thou shalt say unto them, ‘Thus saith the Lord; ‘Shall they fall, and not arise…?” You may have missed more winning shots than Michael Jordan, but never forget that your next shot, your next try could be your ticket to your throne! Amen and amen!
