OPEN HEAVEN FOR TEENS 5 AUGUST 2020 MEMORIZE: Isaiah 52:7

How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him that bringeth good tidings, that publisheth peace; that bringeth good tidings of good, that publisheth salvation; that saith unto Zion, Thy God reigneth!

OPEN HEAVEN FOR TEENS 5 AUGUST 2020 BIBLE READING JONAH 1:11-17

11 Then said they unto him, What shall we do unto thee, that the sea may be calm unto us? for the sea wrought, and was tempestuous.

12 And he said unto them, Take me up, and cast me forth into the sea; so shall the sea be calm unto you: for I know that for my sake this great tempest is upon you.

13 Nevertheless the men rowed hard to bring it to the land; but they could not: for the sea wrought, and was tempestuous against them.

14 Wherefore they cried unto the Lord, and said, We beseech thee, O Lord, we beseech thee, let us not perish for this man’s life, and lay not upon us innocent blood: for thou, O Lord, hast done as it pleased thee.

15 So they took up Jonah, and cast him forth into the sea: and the sea ceased from her raging.

16 Then the men feared the Lord exceedingly, and offered a sacrifice unto the Lord, and made vows.

17 Now the Lord had prepared a great fish to swallow up Jonah. And Jonah was in the belly of the fish three days and three nights.

TEENS OPEN HEAVENS DAILY DEVOTIONAL 5TH AUGUST 2020.

Keeping quiet when you are expected to speak may be dangerous.

If God intends to make you His mouth piece and you shut your lips, you stand the danger of incurring His wrath as seen in our Bible text of today.

God sent Jonah to Nineveh so that he could tell the people to change their ways and turn to Him, but Jonah preferred to go to Tarshish.

God sent a storm and Jonah was thrown into the sea to calm the storm.

God then sent a big fish to swallow him and he was in its belly for three days and nights until he cried to God for mercy.

Can you imagine how uncomfortable and hungry Jonah would have been in the belly of the fish for three days?.

Dear child, it is dangerous to refuse to publish the gospel when God expects you to.

You see, your salvation is a blessing that you mustn’t keep to yourself.

You are to share it with others by opening your mouth and speaking up to everyone about Jesus so that they too can be saved.

Don’t be like Jonah.

OPEN HEAVEN FOR TEENS 5 AUGUST 2020 KEY POINT: If you want to have beautiful feet, share the gospel.

OPEN HEAVEN FOR TEENS 5 AUGUST 2020 HYMN

TAKE MY LIFE , AND LET IT BE

1. Take my life and let it be
Consecrated, Lord, to Thee;
Take my moments and my days,
Let them flow in ceaseless praise.

2. Take my hands and let them move
At the impulse of Thy love;
Take my feet and let them be
Swift and beautiful for Thee.

3. Take my voice and let me sing
Always, only for my King;
Take my lips and let them be
Filled with messages from Thee

4. Take my silver and my gold
Not a mite would I withhold;
Take my intellect and use
Every power as Thou shalt choose.

5. Take my will and make it
Thine It shall be no longer mine;
Take my heart, it is Thine own
It shall be Thy royal throne.

6. Take my love, my Lord, I pour
At Thy feet its treasure store.
Take myself and I will be
Ever, only, all for Thee.
