OPEN HEAVEN FOR TEENS 24 SEPTEMBER 2020 BIBLE READING LUKE 5:1-11

1. And it came to pass, that, as the people pressed upon him to hear the word of God, he stood by the lake of Gennesaret,

2. And saw two ships standing by the lake: but the fishermen were gone out of them, and were washing their nets.

3. And he entered into one of the ships, which was Simon’s, and prayed him that he would thrust out a little from the land. And he sat down, and taught the people out of the ship.

4. Now when he had left speaking, he said unto Simon, Launch out into the deep, and let down your nets for a draught.

5. And Simon answering said unto him, Master, we have toiled all the night, and have taken nothing: nevertheless at thy word l will let down the net.

6. And when they had this done, they inclosed a great multitude of fishes: and their net brake.

7. And they beckoned unto their partners, which were in the other ship, that they should come and heip them. And they came, and filled both the ships, so that they began to sink.

8. When Simon Peter saw it, he fell down at Jesus’ knees, saying Depart from me; for I am a sinful man, O Lord.

9. For he was astonished, and all that were with him, at the draught of the fishes which they had taken:

10. And so was also James, and John, the sons of Zebedee, which were partners with Simon. And Jesus said unto Simon, Fear not; from henceforth thou shalt catch men.

11. And when they had brought their ships to land, they forsook all, and followed him.

TEENS OPEN HEAVENS DAILY DEVOTIONAL 24TH SEPTEMBER 2020.

In today’s Bible reading, Peter had come to his wits end. He had fished all night but caught not a single fish.

Just at the point he gave up, he had an encounter with Jesus and that produced a tremendous catch.

It was the revelation of whom Jesus is that Peter had.

He must have obeyed the instruction that Jesus gave probably because he had seen His words produce great results.

Likewise, you must have heard powerful testimonies from people.

You also must have read and heard of stories in the Bible, but do you believe them?, Do you believe God’s word?

If you find it difficult to believe the word of God, then you have not caught a revelation of who God is.

You shouldn’t look for other foundations such as feelings or philosophy to base your decisions on.

The word of God is all you need. God’s word is enough for your needs; physical, emotional, academic et cetera.

It is all you need to fulfil your purpose in life.

OPEN HEAVEN FOR TEENS 24 SEPTEMBER 2020 PRAYER POINT

Lord, please reveal Yourself to me more and more daily.

OPEN HEAVEN FOR TEENS 24 SEPTEMBER 2020 HYMN

WHEN WE WALK WITH THE LORD

1. When we walk with the Lord
In the light of His Word,
What a glory He sheds on our way,
While we do His good will,
He abides with us still,
And with all who will trust and obey.

CHORUS
Trust and obey,
For there’s no other way
To be happy in Jesus,
But to trust and obey.

2. Not a shadow can rise,
Not a cloud in the skies,
But His smile quickly drives it away,
Not a doubt or a fear,
Not a sigh or a tear,
Can abide while we trust and obey.

3. Not a burden we bear,
Not a sorrow we share,
But our toil He doth richly repay,
Not a grief nor a loss,
Not a frown nor a cross,
But is blest if we trust and obey.

4. But we never can prove
The delights of His love,
Until all on the altar we lay,
For the favour He shows,
And the joy He bestows,
Are for them who will trust and obey.

5. Then in fellowship sweet
We will sit at His feet,
Or we’ll walk by His side in the way,
What He says we will do,
Where He sends, we will go,
Never fear, only trust and obey.
