TEENS OPEN HEAVENS DAILY DEVOTIONAL 16TH JANUARY 2021.
Last year, there was a worldly musician who suddenly gained popularity and had followers who tagged themselves ‘mallians’. These set of people saw their leader be as a role model that should be followed. It was so unfortunate that some children of God also followed. My child, anyone who is not following Christ is not worthy of your followership.
Apostle Paul encountered Jesus on his way to Damascus to crucify the followers of Jesus and afterwards, he didn’t turn back. He wanted to be like Jesus in every aspect. He said in Philippians 3:10:
“That I may know Him, and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings, being made conformable unto His death.”
No wonder he was able to boldly ask people to follow him. If your role model is not pointing you to Christ then, you are on the wrong path. You had better look for another.
Key Point: Show me your role model and I will tell you who are.
