One area I didn’t joke with while my children were younger was their mode of dressing. I always told them that their appearance was a mirror of their heart, hence, they must glorify God with what they put on. Also, my husband and I showed them the right way through our dressing.
I remember a particular day that the Holy Spirit told me to pay my daughter a visit in her school. It wasn’t the schools open day but I obeyed. There was no quick means of communication to inform her of my intended visit, so I went unannounced. On getting close to her classroom, I heard some girls discussing their plans for a party later that night. When I moved closer, I saw my daughter in their midst; they were planning to give her a makeover, in preparation for the party.

She was so shocked because I was the last person she expected to see. I later explained how the Holy Spirit led me to her school. I counselled her and she promised not to do anything to displease God ever again.
Dear child, God is interested in how you represent Him through the way you dress. Please allow the Holy Spirit to guide you always.
ACTION POINT: Make God proud through your dressing.
