OPEN HEAVENS FOR TEENS 23RD NOVEMBER – JUDGE NOT

TEENS OPEN HEAVEN FOR TODAY.

Open Heavens for Teens daily devotional by Pastor Adeboye of the Redeemed Christian Church of God for today is here. Digest the word of the lord and pray believing.

TOPIC OF OPEN HEAVENS FOR 23RD NOVEMBER 2019 IS “JUDGE NOT.”

“Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother’s eye.” – Matthew 7:5

Read: Romans 12:3-5

3 For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.

4 For as we have many members in one body, and all members have not the same office:

5 So we, being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another.

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: Ezekiel 29-31, James 5

In Christendom today, people are very quick to judge others. It should not be so. Some would outrightly criticize rather that constructively criticize people’s actions.

When it comes to criticizing, borrow a leaf from your Heavenly Father. In Revelation chapter two and three, God corrected the seven churches of their erroneously deeds in a beautiful way. He started by mentioning their areas of strength. In other words, He praised them first before mentioning their weaknesses and the areas He wanted them to improve on. Thereafter, He encouraged them and told them how they should make improvements. Correcting someone in this manner makes it clear that you love that fellow and want them to be better versions of themselves.

People who judge are usually blind to the good in others and their own faults too. What makes you more like Christ is if you stop complaining about others and pray for them and encourage them.

ACTION POINT:

Complaining about others won’t change them, but your prayers and positive attitude can.

Hymn 2:

1 When we walk with the Lord in the light of His Word,
What a glory He sheds on our way!
While we do His good will,
He abides with us still,
And with all who will trust and obey.

Chorus:
Trust and obey, for theres no other way
To be happy in Jesus, but to trust and obey.

2 Not a shadow can rise, not a cloud in the skies,
But His smile quickly drives it away;
Not a doubt or a fear, not a sigh or a tear,
Can abide while we trust and obey.

3 Not a burden we bear, not a sorrow we share,
But our toil He doth richly repay;
Not a grief or a loss, not a frown or a cross,
But is blessed if we trust and obey.

4 But we never can prove the delights of His love
Until all on the altar we lay;
For the favor He shows, for the joy He bestows,
Are for them who will trust and obey.

5 Then in fellowship sweet we will sit at His feet,
Or we’ll walk by His side in the way;
What He says we will do, where He sends we will go;
Never fear, only trust and obey.
