MFM DAILY DEVOTIONAL FOR TODAY

Salvation is from the Greek word, “Soteria”. Soteria means salvation, healing, deliverance, redemption and blessing. When we say ONLY JESUS CAN SAVE, we mean that only Jesus can truly give you all these in a lasting and permanent manner. Jesus is the only One that gives these blessings without adding sorrow to it.

If satan gives you anything, he will collect from you with huge interest. He operates a terrible trade by barter system. He would give money and take your health. He would give you fame and take your longevity. He would give you a child but take your spouse or your marriage. He would give you a beautiful bed but take away your sleep. He is that terrible. Only the Lord gives without upbraiding.

The thief on the right hand of Jesus made a simple statement, acknowledging Jesus guiltlessness and sonship. He was saved from eternal judgement and damnation. Only Jesus, the Son of God, could have given that kind of last-minute deliverance and salvation. A man who was so close to hell fire got his fortune miraculously changed for good. He landed in paradise miraculously. That is why the Bible says that salvation belongs to God who sits on the throne and to the Lamb (Jesus Christ) forever more.

Those who are still running from pillar to post, seeking help where none exists should learn from the woman with the issue of blood (Matthew 9:20-22; Mark 5:25-34; Luke 8:43-48). The Bible says that she had the problem of issue of blood for twelve years. The woman also sought the help of the best medical experts of her time. She went about so much that she spent all her fortune in paying the medical experts, yet she did not get the healing she desired.

When all human efforts had failed, she decided to put her faith in Jesus and His unfailing power. What the fortune she had spent could not achieve, what the running helter-skelter in search of consultants did not achieve for her, she got in a number of minutes in her faith-based encounter with Jesus. She only touched the hem of Jesus’ garment and the blood flow miraculously stopped.

Recently, in our church headquarters, a woman of well over fifty years was delivered of a set of twins (a male and a female). She had never had any child all her life and some people had concluded that there was no hope for her with regards to child-bearing. She was serving God faithfully and coming for prayers. The God that answers by fire answered her and silenced her mockers.

I decree that what men have tagged impossible in your life and what human experts have written off concerning you, the God of Elijah will do it for you and the nay sayers themselves will gather to celebrate your God, in the name of Jesus. Only Jesus can save, deliver, redeem, heal, bless and protect. In His name, every knee should bow, of things in heaven, on earth and under the earth. He is the Lord of all. Hallelujah!
