TOPIC OF MOUNTAIN TOP LIFE DAILY DEVOTIONAL FOR TUESDAY 30TH JULY IS “DIVINE LEADERSHIP”

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: Psalm 51-53; Romans 2

BIBLE TEXT: Psalm 23

MEMORY VERSE:  Exodus 13:21

“And the LORD went before them by day in a pillar of a cloud, to lead them the way; and by night in a pillar of fire, to give them light; to go by day and night.”

God leads His people. He leads them aright and safely too. It is important to ask for the leadership of God every new day, new week, new month and New Year. When God leads you in any journey or venture, success is guaranteed. Let us examine how and where God leads His people.

First, God leads His people in difficult places for testing. When Moses was taking the children of Israel from Egypt to the Promised Land, they were led through the wilderness and difficult places. Deuteronomy 8:2 says

“And thou shalt remember all the way which the LORD thy God led thee these forty years in the wilderness, to humble thee, and to prove thee, to know what was in thine heart, whether thou wouldest keep his commandments, or no.”

Secondly, God leads His people like a mother bird teaching her young to fly. Deuteronomy 32:11-12 says,

“As an eagle stirreth up her nest, fluttereth over her young, spreadeth abroad her wings, taketh them, beareth them on her wings: So the LORD alone did lead him, and there was no strange god with him.”

The third way the Lord leads His people is in a plain path. Psalm 27:11 buttresses this,

“Teach me thy way, O LORD, and lead me in a plain path, because of mine enemies.”

God also leads His people like a shepherd. Psalm 77:20 affirms this,

“Thou leddest thy people like a flock by the hand of Moses and Aaron.”

There is no place beyond the reach of God’s hand. That is why the Psalmist said that if he took the wings of the morning and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea, even there shall God’s hand lead him and God’s right hand shall hold him (Psalm 139:9-10).

In the New Testament, the Scriptures reveal how Jesus, in His earthly ministry, led the disciples steadily toward the Cross. Mark 10:32 reads,

“And they were in the way going up to Jerusalem; and Jesus went before them: and they were amazed; and as they followed, they were afraid. And he took again the twelve, and began to tell them what things should happen unto him.”

Similarly, before Jesus departed the earth, in his post-resurrection appearance to His disciples, the Bible records that He led them to the border of the unseen. Luke 24:50-51 reads,

“And he led them out as far as to Bethany, and he lifted up his hands, and blessed them. And it came to pass, while he blessed them, he was parted from them, and carried up into heaven.”

Beloved, I pray that the Lord will be your cornerstone this year. He will lead and guide you to your desired haven, in Jesus’ name.

MOTIVATIONAL QUOTE:
GOD’S EYES SEE THROUGH THE WHOLE OF THE EARTH AND HIS HANDS CAN REACH THE ENDS OF IT.

The Lord will order and lead you in the right path in all your life’s decisions.

  1. Father, I thank You because You have been my help and leader in ages past, in the name of Jesus.
  2. Father, lead me successfully to my Promised Land this (day, week, month, year), in the name of Jesus.
  3. Father, bear me on eagle’s wings and take me out of the land of bondage and depravity to the land of freedom; flowing with milk and honey, in the name of Jesus.

  4. I declare that the eternal God is my refuge and underneath me are His everlasting arms, in the name of Jesus.
  5. Father, lead me in a plain path because of my enemies, in the name of Jesus.
  6. My Father, You are my Shepherd, I commit my ways to You, lead me, in the name of Jesus.
  7. I declare that from today, wheresoever I go in life, Jesus will be my shield and guide, in the name of Jesus.
