Mountain Top Life daily  devotional by Pastor D.K Olukoya of the Mountain of Fire Ministry for today is here. Digest the word of the lord and pray believing

TOPIC OF MOUNTAIN TOP LIFE DAILY DEVOTIONAL FOR TUESDAY 23RD JULY IS “SAY NO TO UNBELIEF (III)”

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: Psalm 33-34; Acts 24

BIBLE TEXT: Matthew 9:19-22

MEMORY VERSE: Mark 9:23

“If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.”

There is a strange relationship between the faith a believer exercises and the benefits he or she derives from the anointing. Our Fire Scripture for today affirms this truth. When Jesus visited Nazareth, His own country, though he taught in their synagogues and they witnessed the supernatural display of wisdom in His teachings, they were offended and would not believe Him.

The Bible records that He did not many works there because of their unbelief (Matthew 13:58). Unbelief cuts the flow of the anointing and hinders the unbelieving from receiving the best heaven has to offer. Is there an area of your life that nothing good seems to be happening? The fault is always not the Lord’s.

You should examine yourself. You might be guilty of unbelief. Those who demonstrate doubt and unbelief will hardly receive anything good from the Lord. In 2 Kings 7:1-20, the Bible provides an interesting and instructive account of the consequence of unbelief.

When Prophet Elisha was invited to find solution to the famine in Samaria, he prophesied in the name of the Lord that by the following day a seah of fine flour would be sold for a shekel and two seahs of barley for a shekel at the gate of Samaria. In response to the prophecy, an officer on whose hand the king leaned answered the man of God and said, “Look, if the LORD would make windows in heaven, could this thing be?”

Then Prophet Elisha replied, “In fact, you shall see it with your eyes, but you shall not eat of it.” The prophecy of Elisha was fulfilled and both siege and famine in Samaria gave way to divine intervention. That was not all, the officer who spoke and acted in unbelief about the prophecy saw the fulfilment not was trampled upon in the gate according to the word of the Lord through Prophet Elisha. If you say no to unbelief, all good and precious promises of God for your life will come to pass this year.

In contrast to the foregoing instances of unbelief, let us also examine two instances in which the Bible characters exercised faith and were able to trigger the anointing to work in their favour and they received miracles. The woman with the issue of blood is a classic example in this case.

She did not have the opportunity to explain her health problem to Jesus. The crowd was a major hindrance for her to contend with. Yet she had the faith that if she could touch the hem of His garment, the blood flow would stop. In her emaciated and debilitated state, she mustered enough courage and faith to bypass the crowd and succeeded in touching Jesus.

The interesting thing is that she was not the only one who touched Jesus that day, but her own touch was different. It was the touch of faith that drew virtues from Jesus, so strongly that the fountain of blood draining life out of the woman dried up immediately. Jesus Himself was so impressed by the faith of the woman that He declared, “Daughter be of good comfort, thy faith has made thee whole.” Indeed, faith is the victory.

Shortly after the healing of the woman with the issue of blood, He raised the ruler’s maid who had died to life. After this, two blind men followed Him and cried to Him, “Thou son of David, have mercy on us.” Jesus asked them an important question, “Believe ye that I am able to do this? The two blind men answered, “Yes Lord.” Then Jesus touched their eyes and said it should be to them according to their faith. The Bible records that their eyes were opened immediately. Beloved, say no to unbelief!

MOTIVATIONAL QUOTE:
ALL UNBELIEF IS THE BELIEF OF A LIE.

PROPHETIC WORD:
The Lord will deliver you from the lies you tell yourself.

PRAYER POINTS:

MORNING

  1. Every curse and covenant of impossibility over my life, break, in the name of Jesus.
  2. Thou Goliath of impossibility in my life, die, in the name of Jesus.
  3. Every Red Sea of unbelief in my life, part way, in the name of Jesus.
    EVENING
  4. O Lord, let my rescue and deliverance be announced from heaven, in the name of Jesus.
  5. Every good thing the enemy has swallowed in my life, die, in the name of Jesus.
  6. People will hear my testimonies and glorify the name of God in my life, in the name of Jesus.
  7. O God, arise and let my heavens open right now, in the name of Jesus.
