MOUNTAIN TOP LIFE DAILY DEVOTIONAL  FOR TODAY

Mountain Top Life daily  devotional by Pastor D.K Olukoya of the Mountain of Fire Ministry for today is here. Digest the word of the lord and pray believing

TOPIC OF MOUNTAIN TOP LIFE DAILY DEVOTIONAL FOR THURSDAY 18TH JULY  IS “THE TRUMPET SHALL SOUND (II)”

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: Psalm 20-22; Acts 21:1-17

BIBLE TEXT: Matthew 24:36-42

MEMORY VERSE: Matthew 24:44

“Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.”

Yesterday, we established the gospel truth that one day the trumpet of God will sound to announce the second coming of Jesus Christ and that the dead in Christ would be the first to rise and together with the living saints would be caught up to join the Lord in the air and be with Him forever more. We also enjoined all believers to be prepared for that experience.

However, there are salient questions to ask and provide answers to with regards to this all-important experience: the second coming of Jesus Christ. First, when will the event take place? Second, will everyone be caught in the air when Jesus appears with the shout of the arch angel in the cloud?

What do I do to ensure that I am not left behind? These are relevant questions we all need to get answers to and be properly guided by. To start with, according to our Fire Scripture today, of that day and hour no man knows, not even the angels of heaven, but the Almighty Father only (Matthew 24:36).

The Bible did not leave us in the dark about how His coming will be. It likens His coming to the coming of the flood in the days of Noah when people were busy eating, drinking, getting married and giving in marriage, neglecting the divine warning or instruction and were caught unprepared.

The Bible adds that not everyone will be taken to meet with the Lord in the air. Whether a person will be taken or left behind will be determined by his or her watching and preparedness. Matthew 24:40-41 says,

“Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left. Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left.”

For you to be taken and not left behind, you must give your life to Christ and live in obedience always. Has the Lord committed an assignment into your hand? You must be dedicated to it and be found doing it to the glory of God. Such people will not only be caught up to join the Lord in the air, they will also receive the commendation and reward of the Royal Master.

Beloved, the question is: where will you be when the trumpet shall sound? Where will you be when it sounds so loud as to wake up the dead? The golden admonition remains: watch and be prepared. I pray you will be where you will be found rapturable, in Jesus’ name.

MOTIVATIONAL QUOTE:
JESUS HAS PROMISED TO GO AND PREPARE A PLACE FOR HIS CHILDREN. ARE YOU ONE OF THEM?

PROPHETIC WORD:
Your name shall not miss out of the Book of Life.

PRAYER POINTS:

MORNING

  1. I shall be ready when the Lord shall come, in the name of Jesus.
  2. When the trumpet shall sound, I will be in the place of righteousness and destiny fulfilment, in the name of Jesus.
  3. I will receive the Lord’s commendation and reward when He comes, in the name of Jesus.
    EVENING
  4. Father, teach me to live each moment and each day conscious of the fact that Jesus will come back unannounced, in the name of Jesus.
  5. I break the power of sin that leads to hell over every member of my family, in the name of Jesus.
  6. O Lord, by Your mercy, make me to reign with You in eternity, in the name of Jesus.
  7. Father, keep me from falling and present me blameless before Your throne, in the name of Jesus.
