No kind of dry season is pleasant. It is better not to experience dry season than to begin to seek how to end it. That is why, as a believer, you should be careful the way you live your life. You should always avoid sin and disobedience because it comes with terrible consequences. You should not give the accuser of the brethren any opportunity to make you lose the grace of God upon your life. What steps should you take to end the dry season in your life? Here are some biblically tested and proven steps:

First, you should give your life to Christ. Enemies of God are permanent candidates of closed heaven and dry season. Therefore, make yourself a friend of God. Make Jesus your personal Lord and Saviour. If you are a Christian but you backslid, repent and return to God. The Bible says that whosoever comes to Him, He will in no wise cast out. So, genuine salvation is the first and most important step to end your dry season.

Another step you can take to end your dry season is to fast and pray Holy Ghost-vomited and targeted prayers. The Bible says that surely there is an end and the expectations of the righteous shall not be cut short. Pray Bible-based prayers; hold God by His words. The effectual fervent prayers of the righteous avails much. As a believer, you have the authority to bind and to loose. Elijah closed the heaven with the key of prophetic declaration and later opened it with prayer.

You can also end your dry season by living a holy life. Holiness will guarantee God’s presence in your life always. Holiness will make God’s angels to fight and work for you. Holiness will make heaven confer supernatural favour upon you and end your dry season.

Another step you can take to end your dry season is to declare some days or weeks for thanksgiving, praise and worship. These three spiritual exercises are capable of blasting the heavens open for your sake and ushering a new season of rainfall. The Syrophoenician woman worshipped Jesus and she got deliverance for her daughter.

Though Jesus was initially reluctant, when the woman worshipped Him, He granted her request concerning her daughter. In Matthew 8:1-4, a leper came to Jesus seeking cleansing and healing. The Bible says that the leper worshipped Jesus and that prompted Him to heal the leper, who left rejoicing. Worship provokes miracles. Thanksgiving and praise do too.

Finally, you can put an end to your dry season by giving sacrificially to God. One of the reasons many Christians are poor is that they do not pay tithe and do not give their offerings and first fruits. They are stingy towards God and are robbing Him. Closed heaven and attack by devourers are the consequences of all these.

God promises to those who give to Him with the right motives, cheerfully and sacrificially include: open heaven (opening the windows of heaven and pouring out blessings you will not have room to contain), men will give back to your bosom, measures pressed down, shaken together and running over; your dry season will end and your rainy season will start.

Beloved, I encourage you to declare war and fight against the forces behind closed heaven and dry season in your life. Go into God’s armoury and unleash terrible weapons against them. Stop them before they stop you!
