BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: Psalms 148-150 & 1 Corinthians 15:29-58

The fear of the Lord is to hate evil: pride, and arrogancy, and the evil way, and the froward mouth, do I hate.

Every redeemed of the Lord has a great future in Christ (Jeremiah 29:11 ). Godly character is the way to that great future. Character builds the future and defines human destiny. In the Kingdom of God, great future is largely built on Godly character (Matthew 7:16-20 ). Therefore, developing Godly character is critical to your success in every area of your life: career, marriage and ministry. If you are a leader, you need Godly character to sets worthy examples for others to follow.

If you are a follower, you also need Godly character. As believers, having Godly character is essential to us in order to represent God and Christ properly on earth. Lack of good character has destroyed many people and denied them great opportunities. Sometimes such people have other qualifications or requirements like educational qualification, age qualification, marital status and so on, but if the character is faulty, such a person will lose out.

The recommendation of such a person will be: good but unreliable and unfaithful; good but unkind; good but proud; good but lacks discipline; good but lacks integrity. You should always work on improving on your character and reflecting Christ character and identity all the time. If you achieve this, success and greatness will be your reward. Don’t let character disorder pull you into the valley of failure and regret.

Cultivate Godly character and it will serve as ladder to take you to the mountain top of huge success and great achievements. Samson had many character flaws but pride was the first thing that destroyed him before Delilah struck. Many people suffer in church and their workplace not because the devil is attacking them but because of their character failure. At the root of many marital crisis, career or business crisis, financial crisis could be found character crisis.

If you don’t deal with your character challenge, it will deal with you. A stubborn husband and a proud wife coming together will produce a home that is hell on earth. Why? They both have character disorder. 2Peter 1:8-10 says, “For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. But he that lacketh these things is blind, and cannot see afar off, and hath forgotten that he was purged from his old sins. Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall.” Beloved, Godly character is the surety of a great destiny. If you have it, you will neither fall nor fail.

Consistent development of godly qualities generally produces a heart of contentment.

Every character flaw in your life is cancelled by the power in the blood of Jesus.

MORNING

1. Character defect in my life, be corrected by the blood of Jesus, in the name of Jesus.

2. Father, give me the grace to work on my character, in the name of Jesus.

3. Power for Godly character, fall on me now, in the name of Jesus.

EVENING

4. O Lord, stir my water into dumbfounding breakthroughs, in the name of Jesus.

5. O Lord, let evil covenant break off my finances, in the name of Jesus.

6. O Lord, help me to step into the water of life and be healed, in the name of Jesus.

7. I incubate my life with Your Spirit, in the name of Jesus.
