The story of Aleksandr began in 1918 in Russia. By early adulthood he was a disciple of Marx and Lenin. In World War II, he was drafted into the military. He was falsely accused of spying, and arrested. Over the next eight years in prison, his faith in the communist regime diminished.
The decisive moment came in January 1952 when he received a visit from a Jewish doctor who had recently become a Christian.
