GOODNEWS DAILY DEVOTIONAL FOR TODAY 6TH MARCH 2022.
With the rise of social media, an unprecedented attack also arose on men and women of God including fellow brethren in the church. How does one react in the face of such? The Bible gives us a clue in today’s scripture. When people deliberately abuse you or make all attempts to harm you, the human reaction is to defend yourself, but the word says no such thing. God instructs us to love our enemies. In Matthew 5:43-44 it states, “Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy.
But I say unto you, love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you”.
If you have been wounded because of verbal offenses or physical attacks, know that you are not identified by what someone did to you. God will take care of your battles. You do not have to spend any time trying to get revenge. The Word allows you to walk in His love and it also keeps your heart in a loving position.
You should never struggle to love, even those that persecute you. If you find it difficult to pray for someone with a right heart that wronged you, then give that situation to God. It is not yours to own or to fix.
Never fight evil with evil. While they expect you to return curses, you return with blessings over their life. You will shine above every attack because you know who fights your battles.
PROPHETIC DECLARATION
I have the love of God shed abroad in my heart. I bless people, not curse them and I will pray for my enemies with a right heart. I will always win because of His Love! Praise Jesus!
