TODAY’S SCRIPTURE: 1 John 1:9
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

When people see this scripture, immediately they think it’s time to find a brother or sister to confess or air their dirty laundry to. Tell someone the A TO Z of all your faulty running’s. While this is widely accepted in Christian circles, it is so far from the truth! Let me show you what the word confess really is there.
The word confess is – HOMOLOGEO – to say the same thing as another, i.e. to agree with. That means if I say the same thing God says about my sins then I am forgiven. That’s what confess means.
What does God say about sin – it has been done away with. It doesn’t exist in your life anymore. No matter how deep you were in it, you have been made free, cleansed by the precious blood of Jesus! That’s grace brothers and sisters, that’s good news to the God kind! So quit beating yourself up about who to tell or not tell about what you’ve done in your past. Say what God says: I AM FORGIVEN – THEREFORE I AM FREE!
PROPHETIC DECLARATION
I have been cleansed form all unrighteousness through Christ. I am no longer the same. My life is going higher and higher in grace. I am blessed, I am forgiven, and I am not condemned in Jesus Name!
