The Topic of Goodnews Daily for 1st March 2021 Is “YOU ARE A HOLY TEMPLE”
TODAY’S SCRIPTURE:1 Corinthians 6:19-20
What? Know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s.
Have you ever tried to drink Black Gold without first opening the can? It would not be possible. You cannot ignore the container and still expect to get the benefit of what’s inside. Our scripture for today is telling you that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost. That means He dwells inside of you.
In other words, your body is a container for the Holy Ghost inside and should not be ignored. You are a tripartite being. You are a spirit, you have a soul, and you live in a body. Each aspect of your person must be nourished and nurtured accordingly to function at its best.
You are a spiritual being, yet the scripture tells you that you ought to glorify God, not only in your spirit but also in your body. That word ‘glorify’ means to hold in honour, to make glorious, to render it excellent.The Bible says that we have this treasure in earthen vessels.
The Holy Ghost is the treasure, and the earthen vessel is your body. This is what makes you the God-Kind. Therefore, do all you can to preserve and strengthen the container; your body. Render it excellent so that you and the world may benefit from the Treasure inside.
PROPHETIC DECLARATION
I am the custodian of the temple of the Holy Ghost. Divinity is tabernacled in my physical body. I am a God carrier. Therefore, I render my body excellent that the glory of God may be revealed through me. Hallelujah!
