HISTORY OF FIRST BAPTIST CHURCH, TEXARKANA.
In February 2003, Jeff Schreve took on the role of pastor at FBC. He had previously worked as a staff member at Houston, Texas’ Champion Forest Baptist Church. With a business administration degree from the University of Texas at Austin, Jeff graduated in 1984.
God called Jeff to preach after he worked as a salesman for 12 years in the business world (Waste Management, Inc. and Nalco Chemical Company). In December 2000, he graduated with a Master of Divinity from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. In December 2014, Pastor Jeff graduated with a Doctor of Ministry degree from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary.
Every sermon Jeff speaks demonstrates his love for the Lord and for humanity. Jeff is an ardent communicator. He considers leading a Christian life to be the most interesting life possible. Additionally, he regards boredom as a dreadful sin. Approximately 1,500 to 2,000 people attend Sunday Services every week, according to Schreve, and a choice taken 60 years ago, when he was called by God into ministry is still bearing fruit till today, Jeff Schreve weekly sermons is broadcast in 182 nations.
At First Baptist Church in Texarkana, Texas, where Jeff serves as Senior Pastor, he is a passionate communicator with a down to earth style to ministry that has changed lives, produced miracles, and encouraged healthy spiritual development. How To Become A Member Of First Baptist Church Texarkana
FBC provides a membership class for anyone who is interested in learning more about FBC’s operations, and beliefs, getting to know their staff, and getting to know you and your story.
Four times a year, usually in January, April, August, and November, they hold membership classes. The program is held on Sundays from 5:00 to 7:15 pm in the Atrium, and meals and childcare are offered.

How do you become a member of Lakewood Church?
There is no official membership process; after three visits, you are considered a member of the Lakewood community. Each service ends with a reception in the New Beginnings where you may get to know some of the church staff members.
