MOUNTAIN TOP LIFE DAILY DEVOTIONAL MESSAGE FOR TODAY
Every believer begins “a walk in the spirit” the moment he places his trust in Christ for salvation. Because he now belongs to Jesus, the power of the life giving Spirit has freed him from the power of sin that leads to death. We live our earthly life under the Lordship of Jesus Christ, in the power of the Holy Spirit. Life as a Christian in cooperation with the Holy Spirit is a daily walk, living according to the Spirit no longer living according to our flesh. The duty of the Holy Spirit is to empower believers for holy living.

Apostle Paul believed that living life in the spirit was best related to the idea of ‘walking’. It was his best expression of Christ-life. Maybe because he did a lot of walking in life. It has been estimated that He travelled 12,000 miles (7458.5 km) during his missionary journeys (most of which was on foot). Paul uses walk 32 times in his letters, e.g. walk by faith, walk in the Spirit, walk in worthy manner, walk in love… etc.
The Old Testament also talks about a lot of people who walked with God. Enoch walked with God (Genesis 5:24), Noah walked with God (Genesis 5:24), God told Abraham, “Walk blameless before me” (Genesis 17:11). God told the Israelites to walk in His ways and He would establish them (Deuteronomy 28:9). God told Solomon to walk in His ways (1 Kings 3:14). “Where the good way is walk in it and you shall find rest for your souls” (Jeremiah 6:16). What does the Lord require of us to live the Spirit life? Mark 6:8- …but to do justice, to love kindness and to walk humbly with your God. As we walk in the Spirit, depending upon Him and being filled with Him, our craving for sin will lessen. Galatians 5:16 –Walk by the spirit and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh. Spending time with God will lessen our desires to spend time in the world and walk in its ways.

MORNING
- Father, give me the grace to walk in the Spirit at all times, in the name of Jesus.
- I receive the mantle of fire, in the name of Jesus.
- O God, revive my spirit man with Your fire, in the name of Jesus.
EVENING - O Lord, do a new thing to my enemies that would permanently dismantle their power, in the name of Jesus.
- O Lord, let uncommon techniques be utilised to disgrace any opposition, in the name of Jesus.
- Let the earth open and swallow my stubborn pursuers, in the name of Jesus.
- O Lord, begin to answer every evil stronghold by fire and roast them to ashes, in the name of Jesus.
